Muğla is famous as much for its calm, peaceful settings waiting to be discovered as for tourist spots such as its crowded beaches and energetic club scene. Muğla, home to the magnificent views and serene, warm beaches at the point where the Aegean and the Mediterranean meet, is home to holiday spots such as Bodrum, Fethiye, Datça, Ölüdeniz and Marmaris.

With its turquoise sea and lively beach, Ölüdeniz is among the favourites, especially when it comes to transport and accommodation options. It is surrounded by many holiday resorts such as Ovacık and Hisarönü. Fethiye is set on the remains of the ancient city of Telmessos and contains many historic sights such as the Tomb of Amyntas and the Telmessos Theatre, where many important Greek plays first appeared. Çalış Beach is considered Fethiye's best beach. The beach is famous in particular for its tourist facilities and water sports.
In Muğla's famous holiday resort, Akyaka is a true hidden gem with its perfect atmosphere suited to an autumn holiday. Akyaka, once a small fishing town surrounded by pine trees in the Gulf of Gökova, is the home of calm holiday spots. Akyaka also offers nature-focused sports and activities such as windsurfing, cycling, kitesurfing, sailing, paragliding, rafting, trekking, horse riding, rock climbing and sea kayaking. İzmir, Türkiye's third-largest city on the Aegean coast, is a famous holiday spot with its perfect waters for swimming and its villages hidden along the shore for resting. In İzmir it is found in the districts of Çeşme, Menderes, Seferihisar, Karaburun and Selçuk.
