Cedrus Hotel Antalya

Kaleiçi / Antalya, where the hotel is located,  lies within an Archaeological and Urban Conservation Area. Kaleiçi has the quality of being a place that holds the finest examples of Roman, Seljuk, Ottoman and Republican period buildings and of Antalya Houses. Cedrus Otel is also one of the Republican period Kaleiçi Houses. The building is thought to have been made in the late 19th century.

The mansion's first owner, Tevfik Işık, was the person who set up Antalya's first power station at the wish of Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk. He also gave this mansion as a gift to Tevfik Işık and his family. 

Before becoming a hotel, the building was used for many years as a House of Cultures with a Museum function. The mansion was restored in keeping with its original form and turned into a hotel in 2019; it opened for service with 11 rooms (1 single, 8 double and 2 deluxe), a lobby, a garden and a bar.

By virtue of its location the hotel lies in the centre of Kaleiçi. It is right beside the historic Kesik Minaret, and a few minutes' walk from the Hıdırlık Tower and Hadrian's Gate (Üçkapılar). It is some 600 m from the Marina and 11 km from Antalya International Airport. Its location provides its guests with the chance to reach the surrounding entertainment venues, shopping centres, historic places and artistic event spaces easily at any hour of the day.

In the hotel's operating model, the ‘Traditional Antalya House’ has been taken as the basis. Antique items used in their time by the owners of the house are used in the hotel's rooms and shared areas, so that the historic texture has been preserved and enriched.
