Aral Tatil Çiftliği

Aral Tatil Çiftliği, founded on Bozcaada's fertile soil, has become the most valuable inheritance left to Ahmet Bey and his wife Arzu Hanım thanks to a winemaking passed down from generation to generation. Aral Çiftlik, which began its restoration with a two-storey stone house, has furnished the rooms of the property's 23 rooms one by one with care, as if laying out a trousseau. The vines and trees on the farm have multiplied and diversified over the years enough to make a forest. As well as Çavuş, Vasilaki and Kuntura, they offer their guests the new grape varieties they add each year when the time comes.

The vegetables grown in the garden are the sultan of the dishes… The number of our fruit trees that can be picked from the branch when wished — Pear, Fig, Almond, Olive, Pomegranate, Plum, Cherry, Peach and Quince — grows each year, and you taste their flavour. With the cold water of the large well right in the middle of the farm, the whole garden is always lush green. Small guests in particular spend a pleasant time with this paradise garden's peacocks, ducks and geese, hens and cockerels, turkeys, goats, playful cats and mischievous dogs. If you are keen, you can bake bread in the stone oven, make cheese from goat's milk, and take home with you the winter provisions you have produced, such as noodles, tomato paste, jam, pickles and tarhana.
